Natural high quality Labradorite. It features a phenomenon called  labradorescence . Under normal light, the stone can look like a deep, dark grey or charcoal, but when it catches the light at the right angle, it flashes with brilliant, iridescent metallic colors - typically electric blues, fiery flashes of gold, pale greens, or deep coppers.

Historically revered as a stone of transformation, Labradorite is a popular companion for those seeking inner strength, heightened intuition, and a shield against negative energies.

It was originally discovered in Paul's Island near the town of Nain in Labrador, Canada in 1770, which is where its name comes from.  According to Native American Inuit lore, the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) were once trapped inside the rocks along the coast of Labrador until a warrior struck them with a spear, freeing most of the lights while leaving a remnant of the colorful glow permanently embedded in the stones.
